CHARACTER
NAME: Revolver Ocelot (Adam)
CANON: Metal Gear
CANON POINT: Post MGS2
AGE: 65
BACKGROUND: https://metalgear.fandom.com/wiki/Revolver_Ocelot

PERSONALITY:

Ocelot is a man who has been trained as a spy and a charm agent since birth, due to this, the closest thing Ocelot has to a real name is the code name Adam (Adamska is a diminutive,) and his concept of a moral compass ranges from alien to downright monstrous. He can and has watched his own mother die for the sake of a mission, and fully expects to eventually die for the sake of his own mission. Nothing is necessarily off limits if it will achieve his goal, kidnapping, backstabbing, torture, murder are obvious ones, but he is not at all above putting himself through intense public humiliation or extreme pain for the sake of a goal. (Though sometimes he will expose himself to pain just for funsies. Example: holding a man to him bodily to kiss him while he electrocutes him.)

While he did essentially break free of the molding and destroy what was left of the organisation that made him, in a lot of ways almost everything about him is extremely malleable and might be changed by him simply to better fit an environment.

Not limited to acting and lying (while very capable at those things,) Ocelot can and has on multiple occasions used drugs and hypnosis to rewrite memories, experiences and personality traits to hide information and maintain a con. Typically resulting in presenting as a man who is fairly personable, level headed and easy enough to get along with to the point that most people he works for believe him to be on their side, or if not directly on their side, someone who genuinely has the same goals as them (all these people end up dead.)

The few things he does not rewrite or change about himself are his appearance, and his taste for pain. No matter how deep in a different persona he is, that he enjoys fighting, killing, hurting people, and watching them suffer never quite goes away. He might put some nominal effort in hiding it, but it won't hold up under any significant observation while he's in the act of causing harm. (Example preaching about treating prisoners humanely, while torturing a number of them daily, and promptly being called out for being way to into it anyway.) Due to usually setting himself up in military interrogation positions, he almost never needs to hide it and can just lean into it to as an intimidation tactic. Though even surrounded by people who love war, fighting and killing, he tends to be viewed as a sick fuck among them.

The first things anyone is ever told about Ocelot is that he is a sadist, and he fucking loves spaghetti westerns. The first bit is what he is famous for (aside from his skill as a gunfighter,) but that second bit actually tends to be reflected in the roles he plays, not just the way he dresses or the weapon he uses.

In his role as an x-tuple agent, a number of the personas he projects tend to be drawing on aspects of characters played by the late actor Lee Van Cleef, famous for his roles as a villain or anti-hero in numerous spaghetti westerns, and if the role Ocelot is playing doesn't require him to wear something specific, his choice in clothes tend to call on costumes by worn by same.

If the role does require wearing something specific, then Ocelot will still find a way to include a set of spurs on his boots, even when wearing his military uniform. The only time he went without was when pretending another man was possessing his body.

(Due to the ambiguous nature of this aspect of the series, where spirit possession does happen, psychics and ghosts are real, and the eventual ‘no there’s nothing supernatural ever just nanomachines despite the numerous floating psychics’ thing, I will be playing as if the Ocelot being possessed by Liquid situation was briefly an actual supernatural occurrence thing until Ocelot removed the arm and replaced it with bionics due to irl ghosts being harder to manipulate vs fake ghost brainwashing performed in a controlled environment. Especially since it was noted he /had/ to remove the man’s arm to re-balance his mind.)

Ocelot’s skills are not limited to warfare and inflicting pain, he is notably extremely intelligent, having been briefly a military code breaker as a teenager, performing as a triple agent at nineteen/twenty years old, speaking seven languages fluently, being able to reliably bank gunshots around corners through ricochet, and regularly pulling off outright Xanatos gambit plans.

While the overly complex nature of many of his plans after the fact seem to be nonsense levels of future prediction, it’s all smoke and mirrors, just like a significant portion of his personality, Ocelot tends to choose situations where any given outcome can benefit him. While one may be the most beneficial result, there’s usually very few outright fail states so any given plan may still be successful no matter how completely off the rails it may go.

POWERS/ABILITIES:

-Extensive knowledge of pharmacology, human physiology, human psychology, hypnosis, brain washing, and animals.

-Military trained and still both fit enough and fast enough to run circles around military trained men less than half his age, and go toe to toe with men wearing strength enhancing suits.

- Immunity to psychic based mind control and mind reading.

- High levels of resistance to a wide variety of narcotics, particularly those associated with truth serums and tranquilizers. This causes issues with anesthesia and painkiller resistance, but it also takes unreasonable doses of standard drugs to knock him out.

- Under incredibly specific circumstances that are very unlikely to occur in game, can theoretically be possessed by ghosts.

- has nanomachines in his blood for encrypted communication purposes, also not terribly useful in game due to lack of relevant relays to do anything with these.

INVENTORY:

2 x Colt Single Action Army

1 x box of .45 cartridges

1 x gun maintenance kit

1 x small electromagnetic shielding device ( capable of deflecting the paths of bullets and missiles around the wearer, and render nearby explosives inert.)

1 x cowboy themed gay smut novel

MOONBLESSING: Cordis
